Interactive Content

Interactive content can include everything from user login scripts to MySQL database content. If you want users to be able to create accounts and log in in order to access specific area of the site or personalize their own content, then an interactive website is a necessity. Many websites simply call for basic content that can be displayed to the visitors. However, simply adding basic content to a site, although great in itself, still does not give the website owners much accessibility in the way of contacting previous visitors with updates or getting them to just come back again from time to time. This is what you really want.

Even if your website lists as number one in a search engine for any particular set of keywords, your visitor counts will appear to remain the same from month to month. But by creating a way for you to intercept those visitors and giving them a reason to return over and over again, your visitor count will do nothing les than escalate drastically over time.

Cron jobs are also a great way to have periodic reminders, updates, offers, etc emailed to users or people who have opted into mailing lists. A cron job is where the server will periodically run a specific script on a given schedule in order to complete a task without you having to do this manually. This is like having your website do all the work for you while you do nothing but sit back and rake in the profits from advertisements or sales.

A good back end (content management system) is also a great way to keep your site updated without having to know any programming knowledge. Chances are you do not know a whole lot of programming languages if any at all or you wouldn’t be looking for a developer to begin with. If this were the case, then what good would it do to create a website that you are not even able to administer on your own? A Content management system is where a back end system is designed where you can log in and change website content and information as easily as sending email or filling in web forms. No programming knowledge is necessary for you to maintain your own website content if opting in to having a CMS installed.
